Breathing New Life Into Hope

Lincoln is a remarkable 6-year-old boy who was born without the ability to breathe on his own. Despite facing challenges that would overwhelm many adults, his family's love and community support have given him the tools he needs to thrive.

Through fundraising efforts, WCF was able to provide Lincoln's family with two critical items: a motorized wheelchair to give him mobility and independence, and a built-in permanent generator to ensure his life-support equipment continues working during Florida's storm season.

These aren't just medical devices — they're lifelines that allow Lincoln to be a kid, to play, and to live with dignity while his family focuses on what matters most: being together.

Giving Back

From Recipient to Champion

When Melea Blaskovich's son was diagnosed with a serious auditory disorder in 1st grade, the family faced an overwhelming financial challenge. The specialized corrective device he needed was expensive, and insurance wouldn't cover it.

The Westchase Charitable Foundation stepped in, helping fund the device that changed her son's life — restoring his hearing, his confidence, and his future.

Years later, Melea became a candidate for Tampa Bay Woman of the Year, working tirelessly to raise funds for other families. Her story embodies the foundation's spirit: families helping families, creating a circle of support that lifts up the entire community.

Standing With Families Through Treatment

When childhood leukemia strikes, the emotional and financial burden can be overwhelming. WCF stands with these brave families during their darkest hours.

When their child was diagnosed with leukemia, the Solomon family faced not only emotional devastation but mounting financial pressures of treatment, travel, and time away from work. WCF provided a check to help cover medical expenses and daily living costs.
