From a Driveway to $800K

Who would have thought that a Red Sox fan and a Yankees fan would co-found one of Tampa Bay’s most impactful charities? In 2002, Ralph Caputo and Dan O’Brien brainstormed a golf rivalry. In 2003, the Overstreet family’s 8-year-old Brooke was diagnosed with brain cancer.

That act of compassion became the WCF. Today, over 90% of grant recipients live outside Westchase. The foundation has distributed $800,000+—all managed by volunteers.
