2023 · Westchase Swim & Tennis Center

In 2023, the Westchase Charitable Foundation expanded its fundraising portfolio with the launch of Courts for a Cause — a tennis and pickleball tournament held at the Westchase Swim & Tennis Center on Countryway Boulevard. The event marked an exciting new chapter for the foundation, tapping into the rapidly growing popularity of racquet sports in the Tampa Bay area.
The tournament is presented by AB Tennis and directed by Alex Bogdanovic, a retired Serbian-born British tennis professional who achieved the remarkable ranking of British No. 2 in singles. During his professional career, Bogdanovic competed in 22 Grand Slam qualifying tournaments and received wildcard entries into Wimbledon for eight consecutive years.
After retiring from professional tennis in 2013, Bogdanovic established AB Tennis Services and now runs a tennis academy in Westchase. His mission to bring the community together through sport aligns perfectly with WCF's philosophy of community-driven fundraising.
The tournament welcomes players of all skill levels across both tennis and pickleball divisions, with singles, doubles, and mixed play available. The world-class facilities at Westchase Swim & Tennis Center include four professional hard court tennis courts and six dedicated pickleball courts, all professionally lighted.
With 100% of proceeds going to the Westchase Charitable Foundation, every point scored on the court translates directly into support for Tampa Bay families facing their most challenging moments. The event has quickly become a community favorite and a meaningful addition to the foundation's annual calendar.
